In my over 30 years of experience as a clinician, I have successfully worked with a variety of clients. My expertise is in the areas of anxiety, OCD, trauma, depression, relationships, stress management, grief, and life transitions. I am a certified EMDR therapist, trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and also incorporate aspects of other evidence-based treatments into my work in order to meet the individual needs of my clients. My goal is to assist clients in not only coping and managing their areas of concern but to also explore underlying issues in order to resolve and reduce symptoms.
I received my Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from Michigan State University and have continued to expand my knowledge through various training and certificates. I have also taught as an Adjunct Instructor at Florida State University in both Undergraduate and Master's level courses from 2018 to 2023. In addition, I was honored to be appointed by the Governor of Florida to serve on the Board of Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists and Mental Health Counselors from 2015 to 2020 and served as the Board Chair.
